Stereophonic is an anthem for all the anthems that made us dance a few years back. What did you have in mind when making the track?
stereophonic contains samples from an old breakbeat track, where I did a bootleg for myself and played it out several times. People started asking about this track, so my manager contacted "spooky" if they would be interessted to clear the sample. they loved the idea and thats the story really...
You have remixed everybody. Which of your remixes are you most proud of? And which are your upcoming remixes?
I still like pretty much of the remixes i did. lcd soundsystem, tracey thorn, robbie williams... I just finished new ones for yuksek and moby, but i´m not really so much into remixing at the moment.
Metronomy's "Heartbreaker" remixed by you is my track of the summer (together with Ice Cream by Muscles). Tell me a little bit about the track and your work on it.
well, the orginal version had a very sad atmosfer and the label asked me to do a kinda summer anthem out of it...i asked a friend of mine to help me with some instruments and vocals. the rest was done quite fast within a day i think. just heared that it was one of the most downloaded tracks on the blogs around the summer. thats great!
Best club of Europe for 2008 and why.
there are so many great clubs to be honest! fabric london, exit lithuania, razzmatazz barcelona, warehouse japan... honestly, i haven't had any bad gigs so far and i´m really happy about that...def worth is visiting cocoon in frankfurt! the club and soundsystem are insane.
