Oh, I've been waiting for Sillyboy's album for a while now, haven't I? "Played" is pure pop, sexy, dark, disco, aetherial, whitty. It even has the fake vocals on, oh yes! But it goes on, there are ideas in there, there are guitars fused with indie. If I called Sillyboy the greek equivalent of Hot Chip, you'd get the idea? Well sth like that, but not just. 80s, 90s, 00s are in there, I can't believe that we have come to a stage where we can get a greek album to sound like this and this not being a shock. 2009 was the year that new greek music bands have gone over the top and 2010, with albums like Sillyboy's, will be a step further.
Nough said, the album will be out this May as Just Gazing Records 01, in a limited vinyl edition of 500 copies. Nice one boys, nice one!
