Los Campesinos - Romance is Boring

Everytime I come across Los Campesinos (from the first time till even today), I think of a Swedish band. I don't know why, maybe it's because they are a group of 7 or more persons with the last name Campesino. Or maybe it is coz they still call themselves indie pop. Now be true, aren't these reasons enough?

The Cardiff, Wales, England band have a new, third album "about death and football" out tomorrow on Wichita (and Arts & Crafts in the US), as always, with a brilliant name: "Romance Is Boring". I guess the same called track would be a nice Valentine's gift for 2010, it's very upbeat, like Chambawamba gone indie rock. Actually, the whole album is upbeat indie rock. I guess upbeat comes from the band, and indie rock from the producer John Goodmanson (Pavement, Blonde Redhead, The Posies, Rogue Wave, etc). The album features Jamie Stewart (of Xiu Xiu) and Zach Pennington (of Parenthetical Girls).

Having said the above, I have a question: how can one make an album about "death and football" with lots of fuzzed guitars and still call it indie pop?
