James Pants - Seven Seals

Remember his 2008 debut with tracks like "We're through"?
Or do you remember "All The Hits", from a couple of months ago, where he made music for commercials?

Well, forget about them. Or not. This is how it's gonna go for this one, so stay with me.
James Pants is back, in a religious way. His new opus is called "Seven Seals", released on Stones Throw last December and, like you needed to guess, it's, like, darker, ambient and full of his, let's say, references to religion.
Meaning, James sounds sexy like my personal idol, Sebastian Tellier, in one song: just listen to This Moon. Ok, you get it.
But, then, there's I Saw You, with it's tin, dark, indie, experimental sound.
And somewhere between them, there is a whole album, from a guy that has fun with his gear. And that's it. Take it or leave it. Or not. Whatever. Stones Throw rules.
