’’A Memoir of Kilgore Trout’’ is a concept album about the work of fictional writer Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007). From ancient religions to time travel, from satire to science fiction ,from drum ’n’ bass to electro-punk and all in between,the tracks in ‘’A Memoir of Kilgore Trout ‘’ enclose the band’s past, present and future , borrowing their titles from Vonnegut’s obscure writings and their context from the ambience of his books. ‘’Ting -a-ling motherfucker’’ and ‘’After the excrement hit the air conditioning’’ are two stories from Barbara’s Straight Son forthcoming album.
