Interview: Glacial

Glacial are Lemos, Ilan Manouach and Yannis Lookos. Their album is out in October on the famous "Hotel Costes series. They told us the following:

Why Glacial?
We found the title by contrast to the overall warm and sensual atmosphere of the album.

What was the recording like?
A casual jamming, we turned on the mics and played.

This album is dark, rainy, it feels like walking in a northern European town. Why did you go for this sound?
We didn't .. we just started jamming, recording then cut copy paste delete cut copy past delete .. so it came out naturally.

The album is coming out on Hotel Costes. How did that happen?
Lemos has already worked with hotel costes's producers in the past. They proposed to him a carte blanche for a release of a solo album for the hotels.
He decided that it's going to be dull to make a dance album so he teamed up with Ilan Manouach (saxophone player -arranger) and Yannis Lookos (piano player-arranger) to make something a bit more experimental .

What does it mean for Glacial to have their music released by Hotel Costes?
A good start!

Will there be a tour of Greece and/or abroad to support the release?
We are into rehearsals for producing this project live.
