Annie interview!

Write it down on a post-it on your fridge, coz you damn better be there:

ANNIE (the one and only Anniemal) will be in Athens TOMORROW! Hell yeah, a stunning Norwegian popstar will dj for you
this Thursday (Nov.18th) @ Fantaseed (Triptolemou 8, Gazi) and she will play some serious tunes (just read below)!!
With her on the decks, the mastermind behind the Bedazzler parties, DeeJay KyRiakos RaKos. And, free entrance, ok? What else do you need to spell P.A.R.T.Y.?

And next day, Friday Nov.19th Annie will be @ Partizan Thessaloniki, don't forget.

Annie answered a few questions for us, so
thank you Annie, we heart you toooo much!

Do people make requests at your dj sets or are they too afraid to ask (since you are a celebrity and all)? And if they do ask, do you satisfy the requests?
IT HASN'T REALLY HAPPENED THAT OFTEN, ONLY NOW AND THEN PEOPLE ASK ME, USUALLY NEVER. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE REQUEST. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO HEAR ESG, THE NEW VELFERD RECORD, OR SOME BETTY BOO, I MIGHT PLEASE THEM. BUT I WOULD PROBABLY DISSAPOINT SOMEONE WHO'S BEGGING FOR HILLARY DUFF OR DANI MINOGUE. YOU CAN NEVER PLEASE EVERYONE, AND I GUESS THAT'S A GOOD THING.

Is there a song that works in every dj set/bar/venue?
WELL, THE PATRICK COWLY REMIX OF "I FEEL LOVE" WITH DONNA SUMMER USUALLY ALWAYS WORKS, AND PEOPLE SEEM TO LOVE "BUBBLEBATH" OF THE SWISS.

Do you actually think that men feel ashamed after holiday flings (or other such activities), as you sing in Anthonio?
WOW, I NEVER REALLY THOUGHΤ OF THAT BEFORE ... HAHA.BUT MAYBE THERE'S SOME GREEK MEN WHO CAN RELATE TO THE STORY?! I KNOW SOME NORWEGIAN GIRLS WHO'VE BEEN FALLING IN LOVE WITH SOME GREEK HUNK LIKE «ANTHONIO«, AND THEN, HE DISSAPEARED INTO THE WILDERNESS 2DAYS LATER.
ACTUALLY, THE REAL ANTHONIO IS FROM BRASIL, AND IS A BIT OF A PLAYER. BUT I GUESS THERE ARE NORWEGIANS AND PROBABLY MEN ALL OVER THE GLOBE WHO CAN SOMEHOW RELATE TO THAT. BESIDES MAYBE THE PART ABOUT THE BABY?!

How do you feel about coming to Athens? Have you been here before?
I'VE BEEN TO THE GREEK ISLANDS ABOUT 5 OR 6 TIMES, BUT THAT WAS IN THE SUMMERTIME, I REALLY LOVED IT. I THINK GREECE IS SUCH A EXITING COUNTRY, AND I LOVE THE FOOD, THE LANGUAGE. SO I 'M REALLY EXITED TO SEE ATHENS, IT'S MY FIRST TIME. I'VE NEVER PLAYED IN GREECE BEFORE, SO I CAN'T WAIT TO EXPERIENCE THAT EITHER.

Can we expect new music from you in 2011? Any details?
I'VE BEEN WRITING A LOT LATELY.. BUT NEXT YEAR I WILL SPEND A LOT OF TIME RECORDING. I'VE WORKED A BIT WITH FRED FALKE, AND A GUY CALLED DONNIE SLOAN. THERE WILL BE SOME NEW SINGLES COMING UP NEXT YEAR, AND HOPEFULLY AN ALBUM LATE WINTER 2011.

XX Annie
