This is not the album you expect. Kings Of Leon have always felt like they were in their own world, listening and making their own music, away from the current trend. They music sounds natural, like it always was there, you know?
Well, they keep the same recipe in this new album, but this time, it seems that the recipe is a little bit off. They have chosen to go slow: laid back tunes, like the cover art. But, while you'd expect that they, once again, would have totally re-defined the sound they're aiming for, this time around the songs seem pushed, the imagination is not there, the fresh air is nowhere. I heart the Kings, but this album is not for me.
"Come Around Sundown" is out October 18th on Columbia/RCA/Sony
