Kanye maybe lost in his world, but you can't match his world, can you? His new song "Power" will be on his new album “Good Ass Job”, out in November. The track samples heavily (also in the lyrics) the astonishing King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man"and is produced by none other that Symbolic One.
The videois a marvel, just because of the idea of a music video visualising fully a song (and the state of mind of it's creator, for that matter): "Power" is actually a moving painting, with Kanye portrayed as a huge statue of Zeus/Ceasar between ancient columns and mythological creatures. The idea belongs to artist and film director (of one "Demolition Man", thank you) Marco Brambilla (see his acclaimed video installation "Civilization" here) and came from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescos.
Lyrics are Kanye typical:
"...N*gga, no one man should have all that power The clock’s tickin’, I just count the hours Stop trippin’, I’m trippin’ off the power ‘Til then, f*ck that, the world’s ours
