Björk & Dirty Projectors - Mount Wittenberg Orca

The Dirty Projectors, after working with David Byrne in 2008 (on Knotty Pine), go on to working with the other famous experimentalist, Bjork. The story goes that a year back, DP and Bjork were asked to perform some new songs for voices and acoustic guitar for a benefit in NYC. A year on, this became a digital only EP called "Mount Wittenberd Orca, with all the proceeds going for another good cause (creating international marine protected areas)

Back in the days of art school, we used to do all these things like breathing through the diafragm or singing notes high and low and do all sorts of games. This is what this EP sounds like. Experimental songs, written for a very particular cause, sth like theatre music, as you can see in the video of the orginal performance. This one is for the hardcore fan and the fan of whales, too.
