Stars - The Five Ghosts

Ok, this is one I don't get, at all. "The Five Ghosts", Stars' long awaited 5th album, is a funny record and I mean this in a wtf way. I am all for contradiction, happy songs with sad lyrics etc, but this is..., this is pop, like an Ed Wood musical or whatever. The album starts of with 3-4 ridiculously happy/annoying songs. Then, halfway through, the tone becomes "serious", like Stars serious, with songs like "He Dreams, He's Awake". I adored "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead". But this one, I don't get. It's Stars, you know? You'd expect more or at least different, than an uneven, pop album.
