The Drums are on the shiny part of pop music. Their self-titled debut is steaming, young, easy, fun, pop songs with lyrics about love and love and love. They just want to make music and they love ripping off of anybody, but it's fun, so who cares. Some call it indie-pop, some call it post-punk. It's pop. "Down By The Water" stands out, though it's vibe is slower than the rest of the album. Songs like "Forever and Ever, Amen" and "Let's Go Surfing" guarantee success.
