Produced by three persons that have made extreme amounts of money from pop music the last decade (Dr.Luke, Matt Squire, Benny Blanco), the new album by 3OH!3 "Streets of Gold" has one aim: mainstream, unlimited success and lots of money.
The album is mediocre. 3OH!3 started off like crazy dudes habing fun, crashing venues and shouting their lungs off, used an immense push by Myspace and went on to stardom with that track with Katy Perry. But, then, they became boring: this album is boring, it's so even around the edges, it's not even a little bit crazy. It has nothing with 3OH!3 printed on it: it could be made with any other pop product.
Should be a relevant success, this album's songs will be blasting in frat parties all over the Colonies, especially with songs like "House Party" (fuck clubs, gonna have a house party in my house).
Streets of Gold is out tomorrow on Photo Finish via Atlantic, but you can listen to it here
