Cyanna - End Is Near (exclusive album presentation + song stream)

We either came from the sea or fell from the stars
We are made of water and stardust
As we evolve and invent our gods, we grow wiser and all we really pursue is to become gods ourselves
New ways to feel and look better – We fail
This world is imperfect and so are we
We are god and God is all
In StarFish we trust

These words are the background of the last song of the album "Free Falling". They are a poetry piece that Cyanna used in their participation at the Dogmart art-exhibition. They are the main theme that runs through the band's new album: "End is Near" which comes out this April 19th.

The album is ambitious and it better should be. The sound is studio perfect, the songs have clear and various ideas, the sound of the instruments is robust and clean, the voice is top notch and ever-changing. Cyanna have created an album that streams through songs in the way an album should: because you want to make an album and not a single and 10 other songs to sell it for 20 bucks. What else? The band have trully gone a step further from their previous work, seasoned and clever this album is, because it it all for the music. Cyanna hunt what they want to pray on and get it, which is the only way to be true in music. I wish for it to have great success.

This is what Spyreas says about it: "We have always wanted to make songs that talk about stuff we experience or find really interesting for people to spend time thinking about. Real things in honesty. We made this band to communicate with the world out there in the first place. This time we have a straight rock n' roll album out and a new pile of stories to tell on top. It's an album about the end that's always near, coming in all directions. It's gonna be good.."

My favorite song is the only slow song on the album, it haunts me for days now: "Free Falling".
This could easily be my favorite song for 2010, I cannot see how it can wear off of me. GREAT GREAT SONG. Grand sound, the lyrics take off, the sounds circles, uplifts and blows up, the voice leads the way. It takes me back to the 90s: when, in my mind, music was sth that helped you survive the day, when music was important. It makes me feel like "Letting The Cables Sleep" by Bush: now think if Bush released a song like this .
