Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Beat the Devil's Tattoo

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club were going to be huge, if it weren't for their issues with Virgin Records some years back. They chose to go their own way and now release albums through their own Abstract label, via Vagrant.
I have had an affinity with BRMC since their beginning for 2 reasons: one, they rock. two, their name comes from Marlon Brando's motorcycle club in (1953 movie) The Wild One. These guys were the bomb when I worked for Virgin, they were everybody's favorite new rock band, they even had the look to match the music and a decent job was done promoting them at least for the first album.. A long time has passed since, they kept on doing things their own way, I kept listening to their albums.

The new album is released next Monday. It is reminiscent of "Howl" in a big part, it's drone, it's psychedelic in the Jesus and Mary way, it is folk, it is acoustic guitars, it is a lot of things. To sum up, BRMC do their music with their truth. Which is enough and it's rock'n'roll.
