K.Vita is the most significant person in greek electronica over the last 15 years. Though I cannot say I can follow his crossover to a more singer/crooner form, since he is not a singer and his lyrics seem to be too love-concentrated of late, I have a profound appreciation of him as a person trying to live life as an artist. This comes from spending my youth with Stereo Nova albums and cassettes on repeat.
His new video "The Bench" comes from his new album, released late last year on Lyra Records. The song is a return to form for K.Vita: it could have been made in the early 90s, it sounds like Stereo Nova and it is oh, so good old school. I know I'm a puritan, but I love this.
