Little Girls interview

Little Girls is a name you are going to hear soon. Josh McIntyre shared his words with us.

Biggest influences:
j dilla, wire, joy division, the clean, nation of ulysses, dj premier, james murphy (lcd soundsystem) madlib, michael jackson, james brown.

I was instantly attracted to the sound of Little Girls. Since it is your debut album, what did you expect from it and how did that come out?
I really didn't expect anything. i never even expected it to even come out. all of this press is pretty mind boggling. but i'm glad people are digging it.

You've played live with Wavves and Japandroid. how was that?
The wavves show in Montreal was pretty crazy. we got attacked by a dude with a hammer. He attacked our van, as well as a bunch of my friends. He also smashed a lot of merch too. He was nuts. Other than that the shows were great.

Now you have an upcoming tour with You Say Party, We Say Die. How did that happen? What do you expect from the tour?
We have the same manager. I think it will be a lot of fun, especially because our music sounds completely different.

What's going on with Pirate/Rock and J Macc? any news from that projects?
pirate/rock is over, however we might play one more show for old times. j-mac productions will always be around, ill always make beats.
